FAQs

  • Feel free to reach out by email, phone, or through the contact page. I offer a free 30 minute consultation so that we can meet and make sure that it feels like a good fit for you and that what you are hoping to work on is what I have expertise and training in. You can also check with your insurance provider to make sure I am in network with your plan, and what your benefits will cover. When we meet, and after we decide if we will work together, I will have further paperwork for you to fill out.

  • Yes, I am covered by most major insurance plans including Premera, BCBS, Regence, Aetna, United Health Care, Kaiser, First Choice, and Molina. Please check your benefits for deductible, coinsurance, and copay information, as well as what is covered under your plan.

  • Each therapist has their own individual style and approach to therapy and the therapeutic relationship. I approach the therapeutic relationship in a warm and inviting way, and take my client’s lead on what feels most beneficial to work on in a session. I bring compassion and curiosity to the struggles you are bringing into the therapy room. I desire for the therapeutic relationship to be collaborative, allowing for goals, boundaries, and the start and stop of therapy to be discussed together.

The therapeutic relationship is a unique one in that I may know a great deal about you, however, that is not reciprocal in nature. The boundaries present in a therapeutic relationship are what allows for you to show up in a non-judgmental and accepting space that is for you to explore whatever you may need to!

  • That’s ok! That is why there are lot’s of different therapists that have different styles in approaches. If it doesn’t feel like a good fit for you or I, I am happy to talk more about what isn’t feeling like a fit, and give you some referrals of other therapists that may be.

If we have been working together for some time and you would like to end, again, I invite a conversation to discuss what is coming up for you and developing a plan to end therapy if that feels like the best option!
